Morning Prayer January 9, 2025: Enforcing God’s Will in 2025

Man and woman praying, God's kingdom, success, joy, deliverance, grace, protecting your inheritance

In 2025, more people turn to “prayers for guidance,” “prayers for strength,” and “daily prayers” to find direction for the new year. It’s a time to align our hearts with God’s perfect plan for the days ahead. Matthew 6:10, from the “Lord’s Prayer,” says, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” This is more than just words; it shows we trust God’s greater power and good plans for us. We see that His will is greater than any situation we face. This year, let’s pray for God’s will to lead us, trusting in His promises for a better future.

What is God’s Will?

God’s will represents more than just a predetermined path; it is the active outworking of His good and perfect plan, a plan that is superior to any earthly circumstance. As Jeremiah 29:11 declares, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give1 you hope and a future.’”2 This aligns with common searches for “prayers for hope” and “prayers for blessings.” God’s will signifies:

Declaring Our Submission to God’s Will in 2025

Entering a new year is an opportunity to renew our commitment to God and declare our submission to His perfect will, trusting that it will prevail over all. Many search for “prayers for strength” and “prayers for difficult times” during this period. By focusing on “Thy will be done,” we affirm:

Let’s Pray (Daily Prayer for God’s Will to Prevail):

Heavenly Father,
I humbly come before You today, acknowledging Your perfect sovereignty and lovingkindness. I recognize that Your thoughts toward me are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give me a future and a hope. As I step into this new year, I wholeheartedly surrender my own plans and desires to Your perfect will, knowing that it is superior to any circumstance I may encounter. I pray, “Oh Lord, let Thy will be done” in every area of my life—my relationships, my work, my health, my finances, and my spiritual growth. I seek your “blessings” and “guidance” in all I do, trusting that Your will shall prevail.

I proclaim that You have a good and perfect plan for my life, a plan that is designed for my ultimate good and Your glory, a plan that no circumstance can thwart. I trust that Your will is the pathway to true peace, joy, and fulfillment, a path that transcends all difficulties. I ask for the grace to discern Your will and the strength to walk in obedience, even when it’s challenging or when circumstances seem contrary. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and to find comfort in Your unwavering presence, knowing that Your will is ultimately being worked out in all things.

May Your will be done in my life, that I may experience the fullness of Your blessings and fulfill the purpose You have ordained for me. This is my “daily prayer” for alignment with your purpose and for the prevailing power of your will in every circumstance.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
